Anyone in a room with Dave can’t help but get inspired by his energy - especially when it comes to spreading the word about Figured. Dave has an impressive career history in senior leadership roles for a number of leading technology companies and, before joining Figured, was managing the digital solutions for business markets at NZ Post.
Richard is a seasoned tech leader imported from the United Kingdom (although he strongly claims to be a kiwi). With impressive experience managing and building amazing SaaS products and teams and a knack for high paced complex product environments, Richard ensures the product not only runs well, but keeping our customers problems at the heart of what the team does everyday. He’s also the proud father of our Head of Cuddles, Bear - who has more instagram followers than he does!
Family man, sheep and beef farmer, Chartered Accountant specialising in agribusiness and oh - he also happens to code in his spare time (not saying much for the social scene in Turakina, but nevertheless very impressive). As well as managing all of Figured’s commercial aspects, Carl is also heavily involved in our product development and strategy and, of course, is one of the two original founders of Figured.
A Yorkeshireman with an interest in tech and innovation, David moved to NZ for a few months… which eventually turned into five years. He has previously led strategy and change across retail, banking and supermarkets both in the UK and New Zealand. With a head for transformation, innovation and thought leadership, he is now leading the charge for Figured in the UK. David loves anything outdoorsy, especially cycling, hiking or trail running. He’s a keen skier, and an even keener father of two daughters.
Our people nerd with a passion for building effective teams and creating a fun, open culture with high productivity. Zainab has a decade of experience in recruitment and relationship management, which she has now combined to lead all things people - whether that’s hiring amazing talent, developing people or driving workplace culture. We know the team’s happiness levels, and growth of talent at Figured, are in safe hands. When she’s not busy looking after us - or her pet caterpillars - she’s growing her three little humans (Sunday baking is her absolute fave).
Born and bred in Southland, John is a country boy from New Zealand's rural heartland, with a passion for technology’s ability to transform the industry. This, paired with a background in the agri sector working for one of New Zealand’s largest lamb and beef exporters, means John is inspired by the opportunities that Figured has to make farming rock. He leads the NZ & Australia markets, as well as our marketing and customer success functions globally. In his spare time, John is a big fan of anything Strava related, and exploring the great outdoors.
Ryan has extensive experience working in various aspects of the agriculture industry. From being born and raised on a corn and soybean farm in Nebraska, to serving agri clients as an auditor, to working in finance and analytics in the seed industry, this man has understands and appreciates farming. His latest agri adventure is raising show pigs for his nieces - oh and leading our US market. Ryan’s perfect weekend starts with a work-out in the morning, relaxing with a book on the beach for the day, and grilling steaks with good mates in the evening.
Chris is passionate about New Zealand’s growing global presence on the tech scene, as well as the contribution our farmers have to feeding the world's population. He has extensive experience working in various sales and marketing roles for Kiwi companies, and now heads up Figured’s global marketing function. Chris loves the outdoors, so you’ll usually find him skiing on a Saturday, and mountain biking on a Sunday.
Stephen grew up on a dairy farm in Taranaki. After spending some time farming, he decided to put his software engineering degree to use moved to London in 2004, because that was about as opposite as you could get to Eastern ‘Naki. He spent 10 years in the UK pursuing his software engineering career, working on large scale international projects. He has extensive experience in the tech scene in various software engineer and development manager roles, and now leads our development function. Stephen loves spending time with his family, or riding anything with two wheels. If he can mix both of those on a weekend, then life is truly perfect!
Rik has family roots in agri and rural America. He has experience working in various data and project management roles, and has led many people, projects and programmes throughout his career. He comes to us from Farm Credit Services America, ensuring our product is built for success in the US market. His perfect weekend consists of long leisurely cycle rides with friends, enjoying the sights, sounds and tastes along the way - and a well-earnt drink afterwards.
Amy is a customer person at heart, with specialist experience in product innovation, design and development, and project management. She has held various roles in research and marketing, product design and management, and now leads Figured’s data strategy and banking products. When she’s not busy keeping us on track to bring all the great ideas to life, you might find Amy in the beautiful New Zealand bush - trail running or hiking with mates.
Born and bred in Melbourne, but with claims that he is half kiwi with his Dad from Dunedin. Adam is our new Channel Sales Manager for Australia. He has a background in SaaS and Telco, leading high performing sales teams and channels. Before Figured, Adam headed up outbound sales for kiwi company Timely, so finds himself familiar with the kiwi tech scene. Outside of work, Adam enjoys spending time with his family with three kids, watching Hawthorn win in AFL, or staying up to all hours watching the Formula 1 each week—you might find he needs a few coffees to function on Monday mornings!
An experienced cloud integrator, Jimmy's role is to oversee the implementation of key projects and partnerships for Figured in Australia. He has a broad background in business software working with CRM, point of sale, ERP, ecommerce and accounting software tools across a wide variety of industries. James loves cloud things and solving real world problems with technology. When he’s not busy serving our valued Aussie clients, he likes to dabble in a bit of fishing to catch something tasty, match it with a great bottle, and share it with his beautiful family.
Andrew has a family background in farming, and has spent the past 10 years helping global businesses adopt new software. So it was only fitting that he combined his love for the two and joined us as a BDM for the South Island, NZ. Having been a personal trainer in a past life, Andrew’s ideal weekend consists of hitting the trails for a run, followed by spending time with friends and family.
Born and raised on a family owned dairy farm on the Hauraki Plains in the Waikato, Neissa feels most at home in a pair of Red Bands on the back of a tractor. She went on to study AgriCommerce majoring in Farm Management at Massey Uni in Palmerston North, so she's a perfect fit for helping Figured users get their heads around farming in the cloud as part of our Customer Success team.
Dave is responsible for growing our relationships with our North Island partners and ensuring they have the right tools and tech they need to succeed. He has held various BDM roles for software companies, and owns, runs and manages his own tech startup. Dave is very passionate about how technology is an enabler in driving business growth, and loves sharing this passion with our partners. Dave hangs his rural flag on the fact he’s married into a farming family - through his in laws - but regardless, he’s not one to shy away from the outdoors. He’s a westie who lives out on the coast of Muriwai, loves to surf, and is an aspiring trail runner.
Proud cat mother of two, Jessie is a native Timaruvian who loves to brunch and is partial to an afternoon nap. She made her way north to Auckland, spending two years working in the payment industry across provisioning and merchant services. With her customer service background, a mind for trouble-shooting and an endearing personality, she’s just the person you want at the other end of the line.
Scott is the absolute definition of service-with-a-smile, leading the team to provide outstanding levels of customer service to Figured users and partners. He’s backed by experience at MYOB, BankLink, is a provisional member of CAANZ and CPA and holds a double major in accounting and marketing. So we think Scott’s pretty well placed to help ensure customers have a great experience getting set up and using Figured to its full potential.
With extensive background in the software industry, Suds (as we fondly call him), has worked in product, customer success, and for a business applications firm doing consulting. He then moved to New York where he lived the quintessential Brooklyn hipster lifestyle, while working in downtown Manhattan for a SaaS start-up. He loves golf, fitness and really enjoys the challenge of helping our clients make a meaningful impact to farmers and the agricultural industry.
James is an agri chap through and through, having been raised on a sheep and beef farm and now coming full circle championing the Figured brand. He started his journey with Figured in New Zealand, before moving to support Figured’s growth in Australia, and now works closely with Figured's UK Managing Director to develop collaborative relationships with our UK & Ireland partners. When he's not connecting with key clients, James dabbles in a bit of Europe travel, and is always on top of the cricket.
Nick is a born and bred North Shore boy, who went on to study accounting, and then hopped straight into the software industry to help automate the boring stuff. He’s a big fan of the output and impact of New Zealand farms, since he eats so much of their food, so he’s invested in helping them farm smarter. When he’s not helping out our partners make the most out of Figured, he’s up bright & early for a hike, or settling in with a big bowl of pasta & a glass of wine.
Daniela grew up in a military family, so she’s lived all over the place - including on a mustard farm. Because she’s got a fear of critters (spiders, rodents, snakes and worms), she figured she’s best suited to help on the tech side of agriculture. When she’s not helping serve our US clients, she loves to host friends and family at her place with fun games, good food and a nice glass of Sauvignon.
