Sudeshan, or Suds as we call him, is used to the fast-pace of the tech world. When he joined us in October 2017, he brought with him over 8 years experience offering customer support in medium to high-growth start-ups. He even had a stint living in New York, working in downtown Manhattan for a SaaS start-up. Aside from the opportunity to once again work alongside old MYOB colleagues, Scott and Neil, Suds liked the idea of working with a good tech stack at a growing, NZ-born technology company.
As part of our Customer Success team, Suds takes care of account management - which he says basically means doing whatever it takes to ensure that Figured partners and users have what they need to get the best out of the platform for their business. This could be answering queries that come through, providing customers with training or additional knowledge, helping customers get set up and started, or visiting our partner accounting practices.
The diversity and adaptability of the both the Customer Success and the wider Figured team is something that Suds admires. It’s a work environment that Suds calls both fun and challenging, where each day is different. With that, comes the opportunity to continuously learn and discover new insights, and Suds says that the agri industry is something that he’s still geeking out about. “Every time I go out and see rural accountants I learn so many new and fascinating things about the industry in New Zealand”.
Suds is also a fitness and sports fan, so when he’s finished work, you’ll probably find him in the gym most evenings and weekend mornings - although Sundays are mostly reserved for some couch time. If there’s one thing that is sure to stop him sitting still for long though, it’s his adorable labrador puppy called Willow.
