For Farmers
Most farms produce one accurate, complete financial picture each year β looking backwards on what happened in the last season. It's fine for a once-a-year catch up, but it can't help the farmer when they need their numbers now.
So they call their advisor, who does their best to piece together a financial case for the day's lending review, business planning discussion, or succession conversation. However, without live numbers to go on, it's got holes in it and more than a few assumptions. It gets the job done, but doesn't present the farm's strongest case.
Financial Reporting
Don't spend hours wondering if the spreadsheet is accurate. Figured generates P&L, cash flow, balance sheet, and variance against budget at the click of a button. Because your data flows into the platform continuously from a live integration with QuickBooks Online or Xero, the numbers always accurately reflect the season to date.
Figured also captures your production data alongside the financial side. By piecing both together, it's simple to share not only your business's financial results, but the production activity behind them. What used to take hours now takes minutes.

Custom Reports
Looking to create additional reports that show off the farm's position in a more visual, eye-catching way?
Figured's Reporting Studio drag-and-drop editor lets you quickly piece together attention-grabbing reports made up of charts, tables, and KPIs, which populate automatically from your farm data. You can even drop in your farm's financial reports, creating a complete farm position document made up of both a visual summary and the line-by-line detail.
Auto Analyst, Figured's in-built AI commentary feature, even writes the explanations for you β saving you an afternoon stuck in the office.

Collaboration
Figured is built for the way farms work β and that's as a team. You, family members, your accountant, advisor, any consultants or legal representatives, and the bank can all access the same live data, in a view that is tailored to the needs of the audience.
When someone needs the data, whoever they may be, it's there, organized, and current.

Figured is an online cloud tool that enables clients to plan their cashflow scenario planning for one to five years into the future. Its ability to look at profitability on the farm and not just focus on cash gives a great understanding about how the business is performing.
The beauty of Figured is that it helps you look forward. It gives you a picture, and it might be six to 12 months down the road of where you're going. If you don't like that picture, you've got that time to change. It's just better than looking back at last year's numbers when it's a bit late to make a change.
If you're not measuring what you're doing, you can't manage it. And Figured has certainly given us a greater ability to manage things, because we are measuring so much more.
Integrations
Figured doesn't replace your existing software β it plugs in on top, pulling live data from QuickBooks Online or Xero, and integrates with the apps you already use to manage the farm.

Cropping income arrives post-sale, but costs accumulate from pre-plant inputs onward. Figured tracks both sides of that equation by crop type, on a per-acre basis, through the full growing season β giving you a complete gross margin picture for every enterprise, available at any point in the year.

When it comes time to report on your trading position or debt serviceability, you need a reconciliation that's accurate and current. Figured makes that easy, tracking livestock movements per head as they happen, connecting them straight to your financial plan so the numbers stay current all season.

Questions
Figured's classic reporting function generates P&L, cash flow, balance sheet, and variance against budget β the standard financial reports you might need each year, for example to support a lending conversation. These are produced directly from your accounting software, so the figures reflect the season to date.
Then, with Reporting Studio, you can take it even further β and if you can open a PDF, you can use Reporting Studio. Figured's custom report builder lets you build highly visual farm reports with a drag-and-drop editor that's easy to learn, and even easier to use. Use standard charts, tables, and KPIs to show what's happening on the farm right now, or customize your own to tailor a report for a specific purpose or audience. Before you share, Auto Analyst writes the commentary for you, saving you time doing it all yourself.
While you can use Figured as a farmer without your advisor, we recommend checking whether your accountant or advisor is already on the platform first.
Setting up the platform correctly, including the accounting software connection, the trackers for your farm type, and the opening financial position, benefits from someone who knows the system well. Trying to do it without an advisor tends to mean a slower start and more things to unpick later.
Once you are set up, you have your own access to the platform and can see your farm's financial data whenever you need it. The goal is for both you and your advisor to work from the same live numbers, so every conversation starts from a shared, current picture.
Don't have an advisor yet? Get in touch and we can help.
Figured connects to QuickBooks Online and Xero. If your farm accounting runs through either of those, you can use Figured on top of it.
If you're on an alternative accounting system, or using spreadsheets or paper-based records, you'd need to migrate to one of the supported systems first. While migrating to a modern platform can seem daunting, most farms never go back β there's a reason they're so popular.
It may help to talk to a Figured-enabled advisor about what you need to do next to upgrade your accounting system, then get onto Figured.
Your job is keeping the underlying data current β reconciling bank transactions in QuickBooks or Xero and recording farm movements as they happen. The more current that is, the more useful Figured is for both of you.
Your advisor's job is to work with that data inside Figured. They configure your farm's trackers, manage the planning and reporting, and handle the year-end financial work: valuations, accruals, and the reports that go to your lender. If they also offer advisory, they can help you plan ahead too β using Figured's budgeting and scenario modeling tools.
When both sides have done their part, the conversation between you shifts from what happened last year, to what's going on right now and, more importantly, what might happen next.
A difficult season is best explained with data. Figured gives your advisor the numbers to build a report covering what drove the result, how it tracked against budget, and what the forward cash flow looks like going into the next season.
Banks generally respond well to farm teams that can clearly explain a difficult season and present a credible view of what comes next. With Figured, your advisor has the tools to build that case and context.
What your bank receives is a report that covers where the farm is now, how it got there, and what comes next.
Figured is a monthly subscription, and the cost depends on which product tier your advisor sets you up on β Farm Reporter for reporting, or Farm Manager if you want planning and forecasting on top of that.
Most farmers don't manage the subscription directly. Your advisor handles the setup, and depending on how they work, they'll either pass the cost on to you separately or fold it into their advisory fees. The best person to ask is your advisor β they can tell you exactly what applies to your farm before you commit to anything.
