How Figured Uses AI

With AI, Figured is cutting more of the manual work across agricultural reporting, planning, and reconciliation, so you spend less time on data entry and more on the work that matters.

Automation has been fuelling the transition from compliance to advisory for decades. Until now, it has been a slow burn. Not anymore.

Tasks which used to take days are taking hours, and those which took hours are taking minutes. Compliance-heavy firms are going to be most impacted, while existing advisory firms and those making the shift are seeing massive efficiency gains β€” and the increased value that comes with it.

Building that kind of automation in-house is possible, but it takes serious investment and the maintenance work never stops. You need the value, but not the effort. That’s why we’re doing it for you.

At Figured, our mission has always been to make it easier for agricultural accountants to do great work at scale. To continue that mission, it's not enough for our platform to simply respond to the shift to AI. We have to lead it.

Farming Team NZ

Our vision with AI is about taking the foundation we've already built and making the existing workflows meaningfully better. The result is a platform that's simpler, faster, and more intuitive β€” and that keeps getting smarter.

Powering this change is embedded advisory intelligence, which is transforming a critical system of record and planning into a system of action.

Imagine annual planning that takes a fraction of the time, and financial commentary that updates itself as the underlying data changes. Our goal isn't to automate what accountants currently do and leave everything else unchanged, but to expand what becomes possible to do at all, closing the gap between insight and action.

And action is where the value is, both for accountants and their clients.

What Figured Can Do

How the Figured Platform Uses Ag-Specific AI

We're making Figured faster, smarter, and more efficient. Our AI systems draw directly on over a decade of agricultural knowledge, woven naturally into the tools you already use. The result: better information, with less manual effort.

Reporting

Auto Analyst: Report Commentary that Writes Itself

Add Auto Analyst to any Reporting Studio report and it reads the data on the page, analyzes the farm's position, and writes the narrative for you β€” at the level of detail you require. Configure it once at the organization level, and it personalizes what it writes for every farm in your portfolio.

  • Choose the level of detail, from an executive summary to scannable bullet points.
  • Commentary stays tied to the report's live data, and updates when it changes.
  • Save time during reporting so you can scale advisory to more clients.

Questions

Figured AI β€” FAQ

Figured's AI tools are included in the relevant product subscriptions at no extra cost.

If you are on Farm Reporter, Farm Manager, or Commercial Manager, you have access right now to Reporting Studio, which contains Auto Analyst.

Figured AI works only with the data in your Figured account. It doesn't browse the web or pull in outside sources. When AI generates commentary within Figured, the relevant data is sent to a model provider for processing, and Figured doesn't retain the request or the response afterwards.

Learn more about how your data is kept secure.

Within Reporting Studio, Figured itself calculates every figure, variance, and ratio before Auto Analyst sees anything. The AI's job is to describe those numbers in writing. A separate checking layer then reads the write-up back against the underlying data and corrects anything that doesn't reconcile β€” helping to ensure accuracy and to minimize hallucinations.

Yes. Today's capabilities within Figured run on more than a decade of connected financial and production data, and that same foundation is what makes further capability possible. We're always taking on feedback on what could make the platform stronger for our users, and more AI-driven features are in active development.

No. Figured has been designed to enhance advisory work, not to replace it.

Within the platform, AI takes on the repetitive, manual parts of the work, like scanning, data entry, and drafting commentary for approval. By reducing the workload and improving efficiencies, it enables partners to focus on judgment, advice, and building long-term relationships, and for firms to scale advisory to more farms than was ever possible before.
