The countdown is on to Xerocon South 2016. This year, the annual conference hosted by online accounting giant, Xero, is being held in Brisbane on the 8-9 September. The event offers two days of inspirational international speakers and insightful keynotes who will provide accountants with actionable value to implement in their own businesses.

I’ve always enjoyed visiting Tasmania – especially Launceston – and recently, I travelled there for theTasmanian Farmers and Graziers Association(TFGA) conference held on the 7th and 8th of July.

Here are a few takeaways from my first TFGA Conference:

As our partner network continues to grow, we’re pleased to be welcoming John Gibson to our team to work alongside Neil Landers in supporting accounting practices in their partnership with Figured. John will be based in Christchurch and will be managing the relationships with all our South Island-based partners, and Neil will continue as Senior Relationship Manager for our North Island partners.

The Figured Fast Track Partner Program launched into Australia in May. We’ve already seen a quick uptake, with increasing numbers of rural accounting practices across the country keen to raise their Partner status on the newly introduced three-tier qualification system.

Farmers and Accountants can now immediately connect with one another when bringing a farm onto Figured, meaning farm setup is quicker and more accurate. It's all about putting your best foot forward.
