About Agworld

Bringing Agworld & Figured Together

Agworld is the agronomic planning platform used by New Zealand cropping farmers and their agronomists to build field plans, schedule operations, and track what’s happening in the paddock, season by season.

For agronomic planning, it’s the record growers and accountants trust. Figured takes that plan and adds the financial layer on top, turning planned products and operations into a working crop budget without anyone typing in the numbers twice.

  • Field plans and crop programmes built season by season.
  • Job scheduling and in-field operations tracked as they happen.
  • Built for agronomists and growers working from the same plan.
Heard This Before?

“Someone has to turn the plan into numbers by hand. That’s the job.”

Agworld is where you hold a detailed record of what’s planned for the season. For most New Zealand farms, the budget sits elsewhere. Someone has to take the plan and rebuild it as a forecast, usually in a spreadsheet, and from that point the two documents split.

As the season plays out, the Agworld plan changes but the budget stands still — catching up only if someone remembers to update it. In a few weeks, it’s stale. In a few months, it’s totally out of date.

Figured closes that gap.

What Figured & Agworld Do Together

Your Farms and Fields, Already Set Up

Agworld’s farms and fields sync straight into Figured as properties and fields, ready to use. There’s no separate setup to duplicate what’s already mapped out in Agworld.

Planned Activities Become Forecast Costs

Every planned activity recorded against a field in Agworld syncs through to Figured and creates a forecast cost against the matching Crop Season. The plan you’ve already built becomes the budget, without building it twice.

Agworld Stays the Record, Figured Reflects It

Figured pulls read-only data from Agworld, reducing the risk of errors creeping in over time. Agworld remains the source of truth, so if something needs correcting, it’s fixed in Agworld and flows through on the next sync.

Setup

Getting Started Is Easy

Connecting Agworld and Figured takes a few small steps, then your crop plan flows through on its own.

Step 1

Connect Your Accounts

Get in touch with our team to enable the integration, then authorise the connection using your Agworld login.

  • Requires a paid Agworld subscription (Grower Plus or Grower Pro).
  • Available on any Figured plan with Crop Trackers.
  • Authorisation takes minutes.

Step 2

Set Up Crop Seasons, Products, and Operations

Map your Agworld farms and fields to Figured properties, then set up Crop Seasons and link your Agworld products and operations.

  • One Figured farm can bring in multiple Agworld properties.
  • Only the products and operations you actually use need mapping.
  • Adjust later if your plan changes.

Step 3

Watch Your Plan Become a Budget

Once your Crop Seasons are linked, planned activities from Agworld sync through daily as forecast costs.

  • Forecast costs update automatically as the plan changes.
  • Agworld remains the source of truth for the plan.
  • No manual re-entry required going forward.

Now with Figured, it has absolutely shifted our whole outlook on the business. I just can’t wait to be using the reports to analyse and approve decisions — we’ve never had time to do that before, we’ve been too busy just getting the information.

I didn’t have a lot of confidence in my spreadsheet and my formulas. Whereas with Figured, I know they’re all over that. It gives me a lot more confidence to know that the actual figures being pulled through are correct — and they’re getting pulled through in real time.

If you’re not measuring what you’re doing, you can’t manage it. And Figured has certainly given us a greater ability to manage things, because we are measuring so much more.

Figured & Agworld — FAQ

Yes, it happens automatically. Planned activities recorded against a field in Agworld sync into Figured and create forecast cost invoices against the matching Crop Season, using whichever products, operations, and accounts you’ve mapped during setup.

The first time round, there’s a mapping step to match your Agworld products and operations to Figured accounts. Once that’s done, the forecast builds itself as the plan changes in Agworld. Nobody needs to re-enter the plan as a separate budget.

Agworld handles agronomic planning in detail, from field plans, product, and operation scheduling, to day-to-day management of what’s happening on each field.

Figured’s job is to connect all of that data to your financial picture. It takes what you’ve planned in Agworld and turns into a live forecast, sitting alongside your actual income and costs from Xero, QuickBooks Online, or MYOB — letting you track gross margin by crop and season in one place.

Once a day. If a field plan changes in Agworld, the change flows through to Figured on the next sync.

If you need to see a change reflected sooner than that, you can trigger a manual sync from within the Agworld Integration settings in Figured.

Three things:

  • A paid Agworld subscription, with the integration included at no extra cost on Grower Plus or Grower Pro (not the Grower Basic tier).
  • A Figured plan with trackers, which covers the vast majority of current Figured farms.
  • An accounting connection to Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks Online, since Agworld brings the plan across but Figured still needs a live accounting connection for actual income and costs.

Agworld handles the agronomic plan, the accounting software handles the transactions, and Figured is what brings the two together.

No. Data pulled in from Agworld, including farms, fields, and forecast costs created from planned activities, is read-only in Figured. Agworld stays the source of truth, so any correction needs to happen there and will flow through on the next sync. This is to help prevent errors, and reduce the risk of drift between the two platforms.

If the integration is ever disconnected, that data becomes editable in Figured again, but from that point it’s no longer kept in step with Agworld.

Setting up your Figured Agworld connection is easy, though there’s no fixed timeframe since it depends on how many products and operations you’re mapping across.

We recommend taking your time to do it thoroughly the first time, since mapping Agworld to Figured determines the accuracy of every forecast the integration creates afterwards. Our team can walk you through it, and once it’s done, the plan-to-budget flow runs on its own from season to season.
