The World’s Largest Farm Financial Management Platform
There’s a reason thousands of agri-accounting practices across New Zealand, Australia, the UK, and the USA run their farming clients through Figured. More than 35,000 farms trust the platform, and the accountants who use it every day know exactly why.
When Your Farming Clients Need You, Figured Is There
Figured’s AI is like an extra pair of hands on your team, writing report commentary, reconciling killsheets into the ledger, and surfacing verified benchmark performance, with more planning agents in development. This is agricultural AI built on over a decade of foundational data.
Integrated actuals and production data flow in throughout the season, coded into a structure that reflects how farming works. In Figured, the whole agri compliance workflow is built into the product for improved efficiency.
Compliance, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, benchmarking, and lending … all on the same connected data. Adding a service to a client relationship costs no new system and no new setup.
Practice-wide report templates, automatic commentary, and live client data cut the preparation time behind every advisory conversation. The same team can carry advisory across the whole book, cutting time to value and reaching farmers whose files never justified the hours before.
“We want to do more advisory work, but the tools don’t support it at the scale we need.”
NZ agri accounting practices are under pressure. Margins are being squeezed, it’s hard to find the right talent, and beneath it all AI is coming for the compliance work. Most principals already know that the answer runs through scalable advisory, but then year-end arrives, the firm hits capacity, and it’s kicked to next year.
When it feels like none of the tools adequately support agri advisory services, transformation can seem like too big a project to even start, let alone finish. But if you already do the compliance side well, advisory isn’t as much of a step forwards as you might realise.
The practices navigating today’s pressures best are growing their year-round revenue, building resilience to AI trends, and delivering better advisory to more clients — by using a platform that puts all of their work in one live, shared picture.
Budgeting & Forecasting
Figured’s Planning Grid is where you build farm budgets in a structure that reflects how the operation runs.
Actuals arrive automatically from both the accounting side and Figured’s production and inventory trackers, so whenever you open the plan before a client meeting, you’ll know the data is current. Then when conditions shift mid-season, reforecast in minutes.
Everyone works from the same live data, helping you deliver better, faster advice at scale.

Reporting Studio
Take a tailored custom report into every client conversation — without the manual effort. Create your templates at the organisation level once, with full company branding, drag-and-drop visualisations, and customisable formulas, then open them across every client with the live data already in place.
Saving even more time, Auto Analyst reads the numbers and writes the commentary for you, so you can provide more detail to more clients than ever before.

Tax & Compliance
Compliance is a fully integrated part of the Figured workflow, designed to maximise efficiency by maintaining a live picture throughout the year.
The platform sits on top of Xero, MYOB, and QuickBooks Online, adding the agri detail that the accounting side can’t see on its own. Each year when IRD releases new Herd Scheme and NSC rates, it also applies them across every applicable stock class. Closing values and valuation journals post back to your accounting software, so both systems stay aligned and the year-end numbers are in place before you go looking for them.

Production Management
Figured’s production trackers and live integrations feed operational data straight into the financial plan. Milk production arrives from Fonterra and other NZ processors, livestock movements come through from farm management systems, and crop activity tracks down to field and crop type level.
Open any client file mid-season and you’re working with a current picture on both the financial and production sides.

Figured Lending
Figured Lending adds more to your advisory offering, providing agri-specific finance options available within the Figured platform, pre-qualified against your clients’ own farm numbers.
Open conversations about pathways to whole-of-farm ownership, securing livestock finance to expand the herd, or fast farm loans designed to cover operational expenses, new assets, capital projects, and beyond.

Figured Insights

Figured is purpose-built for NZ dairy. Milk processor data flows in automatically, kgMS tracks month by month, and NSC valuations apply without manual entry. On the planning side, Milk Price Protection modelling sits alongside the budget, and the Figured Dairy Benchmark Report lets you compare a client’s season against thousands of their peers.

Stock movements feed Herd Scheme and NSC valuations automatically, so closing values are ready when you need them and reconciliations stay current through the season. The same tracked data drives gross margin analysis and scenario work when a client is weighing a change to their system.

Figured is the platform that understands crop farming. Set up trackers for each enterprise to trace crop activity down to the field and crop type level, and see the financial impact flow straight to the budget. Then, allocate actual income to the right seasons, enabling highly detailed gross margin reporting when decisions need to be made.

For accountants serving not only farming operations, but non-farm commercial entities too, Figured’s Commercial Manager extends the same planning, forecasting, and reporting workflow to the rest of your portfolio.

We’re all spending money to try to make money, and that is definitely where Xero and Figured come in as a very integral tool for our business — so that we are constantly looking forward, not backwards.
I can almost remember to the day when we discovered Figured. It’s just been so nice to get off the spreadsheets, get off the pen and paper, get off the napkins, and actually put some useful tools and information out there that you rely on and have confidence in.
Rather than going back and forth and back and forth and it taking a week to get a final forecast that we can then take to the bank, [in Figured] we can do it all within an hour and have the result then and there.

Questions
No. Figured works alongside your clients’ existing accounting software. Xero, MYOB, and QuickBooks Online stay as the transaction record and general ledger. Figured pulls actuals automatically and adds what general-purpose accounting software doesn’t have: seasonal planning, production tracking, livestock valuations, and agri-specific reporting.
Closing values and journal entries post back into the accounting software, so both systems stay in sync. Most NZ agri practices run the two side by side.
Yes, both run on the same data and Figured is built to handle the full book of agri accounting services.
On the compliance side, Figured produces the year-end outputs that a client’s tax returns rely on, and keeps it up to date all year. That means there’s less of a spreadsheet scramble come balance date, as most of the reconciliation work will have already been done.
As for advisory, because Figured handles budgeting, forecasting, scenario modelling, and lending in the same platform, once you have the compliance setup right, advisory is a straightforward next step.
Yes, though the right setup depends on how the operation is structured in the accounting software.
Where multiple farms or enterprises sit under a single accounting file, Figured’s Multi-Farm feature uses Xero tracking categories to separate those enterprises within one Figured file. Each gets its own trackers, planning, and reporting, with a consolidated view across all of them.
Where each entity holds its own Xero account, those are set up as separate Figured farms, and Multi-Entity groups them for consolidated financial reporting across the group.
This also applies to clients on MYOB and QuickBooks Online.
Then, for sharemilking and contract milking, Figured has dedicated operation type support built into the Milk Tracker. Income splits, levy allocations, and forecasting calculate according to the arrangement selected at setup, and percentage changes between seasons update inside the same tracker.
The fastest way to get started is to book a live demo with our Partner Success team. Our experts will talk to you about your business, what you do now, and where you want to go, and show you how Figured can support that journey.

We generally recommend that NZ practices start small, defining a group of around five clients with someone inside the practice to champion the change. That lets you get a feel for how Figured can integrate naturally into your workflows without it being a huge project, and then you can scale up from there.
At any point, if you’d rather try it yourself first for free, simply create a demo farm on Figured and play with the tools and trackers.

Support doesn’t end at onboarding, either. Our Customer Success team is available to talk to when you have questions, and our Help Centre is full of useful articles on setup, integrations, and product information.

Figured Insights is a portfolio-level analytics and modelling tool for practices managing multiple farming clients, available on a separate subscription. It gives you one view across the whole book, including financial summaries, production data, and key ratios, filterable by farm type, region, or portfolio group. You can model how a market shift plays out across every client, and track performance at portfolio or individual farm level.
It works across your full client base, whatever mix of farm types you carry. Though the Figured Dairy Benchmark Report, included in New Zealand Insights subscriptions, is dairy specific, built from verified actuals across 2,000+ carefully selected New Zealand dairy farms.
Figured is priced as a monthly subscription per farm file, managed through your practice account. There are two farm tiers: Farm Reporter for real-time financial and production reporting, and Farm Manager, which adds budgeting, cashflow forecasting, and variance reporting to support those year-round advisory conversations.
Commercial Manager covers the non-farming entities in a client group.
As the accountant, you would generally hold the subscription and manage it on behalf of your clients. How you pass that cost on, whether itemised separately or folded into your fees, is a practice decision.
