The Farm Financial Platform Purpose-Built for NZ Livestock Accountants

From budgeting and forecasting to compliance, scenario modelling, and scalable reporting, Figured gives NZ livestock accountants a complete financial management platform for all their agri advisory services.
  • Real-time budgets and forecasts your clients can act on.
  • Herd Scheme and NSC compliance handled automatically.
  • Agri-specific AI built natively into the platform.

The World’s Largest Farm Financial Management Platform

There’s a reason thousands of agri-accounting firms across New Zealand, Australia, the UK, and the USA run their livestock clients through Figured. More than 35,000 farms trust the platform β€” and the advisers who use it every day know exactly why.

When Your Livestock Clients Need You, Figured Is There

Livestock Budgets that Reflect How the Farm Runs

Build financial plans around critical livestock metrics, connected in real time to your clients’ actuals. You, your client, and the bank all read the same numbers, so when conditions change mid-season nobody is working from a picture that’s months old.

Custom Reporting Without Hours of Manual Work

Figured Reporting Studio gives you full control over how farm performance is measured and presented. Build once as firm-wide templates, let AI write the commentary for you, then roll out across your entire livestock portfolio in minutes.

NZ Livestock Compliance, Built in from the Start

Work from live actuals, not shoeboxes. Figured keeps stock reconciliation accurate throughout the season and killsheets even scan themselves with AI, so by year-end most of the data assembly work is done for you.

Planning Tools for the Decisions that Matter Most

From scenario modelling to succession planning, help your clients think through the year’s biggest calls before they make them, with numbers grounded in what’s really happening on the farm.

Heard This Before?

β€œLivestock is too volatile for proactive advisory. We wait till the numbers come in.”

Prices move. The season takes a turn. Your client calls on a Thursday about a decision they need to make by the weekend, and by the time you’ve pulled the picture together, the moment’s gone. You’re left managing the aftermath rather than shaping what could have happened instead.

But volatility isn’t the issue. Visibility is. The accounting practices who can give clear answers when their clients call, and who have the numbers ready, stay ahead of volatility β€” by working from a financial platform that tracks data in real time, scales across their portfolio, and keeps all of their services in one place.

That platform reflects how sheep and beef operations actually run, and has the tools, workflows, and AI support to make real-time advisory a normal part of their client relationships.

That platform is Figured.

How Figured Works for NZ Livestock Accountants

Figured is the agri financial management tool that turns insights into actions, helping you deliver better, faster advisory across your full portfolio of livestock farmers.

Live Budgets that Stay Relevant All Season

Build financial plans that connect stock movements, trading activity, and seasonal income to the farm’s actual cash position, using a familiar grid-style interface your clients can work in alongside you.

There’s no fixed financial year, and no season overflows. Reforecast at any point when conditions change, and when it comes time to build next year’s budget, rollover last year’s numbers so you’re not rebuilding from scratch.

Custom Visual Reports for Your Full Portfolio

Figured reimagines reporting for NZ livestock accountants.

Build highly visual report templates at the organisation level and watch as the KPIs, charts, and tables populate automatically at the farm level. With Auto Analyst, AI even writes the commentary for you β€” so bank packs, management summaries, governance reports, and all the other reports you need each year can be produced in minutes, consistently, across your entire livestock portfolio.

Connecting Production and Financial Data Together

Your Livestock Tracker sits at the heart of Figured β€” where stock reconciliation, production data, and financial planning come together in one place. Record livestock movements by stock class and transaction type, with as much detail as the operation requires, and the financial impact flows through to the budget automatically.

For NZ sheep and beef operations, that includes wool tracking alongside mob movements, with one-click reconciliation against transactions in Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks.

Help Your Clients Plan for What Comes Next

New Zealand agriculture is undergoing massive generational change, and your practice could play a pivotal role in shaping what comes next.

With Figured, scenario modelling helps you take all of that live farm data and quickly map different pathways in financial terms, so your clients and their families can see what their operation could look like before they commit to a plan.

And for farmers who are ready to step into ownership, the Farm Progression Loan provides a pathway to whole-of-farm financing based on farming performance, not just asset values.

Compliance that Keeps Up with the Season

Figured handles the compliance complexity that makes NZ livestock accounting a challenge for spreadsheet-based practices.

With Herd Scheme valuations and NSC calculations updating automatically from IRD, stock reconciliation remaining current, AI-powered killsheets automation, and class-by-class livestock tracking structured around how your clients’ farms are actually set up, year-end is essentially done by the time it arrives.

See Your Whole Livestock Book in One View

Figured Insights gives livestock accountants the power to get proactive. As Figured’s premium portfolio and benchmarking tool, Insights enables practices to see their entire portfolio in one view, plot out market shifts and likely future scenarios, then identify clients whose operations are most exposed.

Segment your client book by region, farm type, or custom grouping, then track key ratios and performance metrics across the whole portfolio in a few clicks. All that’s left is to pick up the phone and start the conversation.

Now with Figured, it has absolutely shifted our whole outlook on the business. I just can’t wait to be using the reports to analyse and approve decisions β€” we’ve never had time to do that before, we’ve been too busy just getting the information.

I can almost remember to the day when we discovered Figured. It’s just been so nice to get off the spreadsheets, get off the pen and paper, get off the napkins, and actually put some useful tools and information out there that you rely on and have confidence in.

Integrations

Connected to the Tools Your Clients Already Use

Figured doesn't replace your existing software β€” it plugs in on top, pulling live data from Xero, QuickBooks Online, or MYOB, and integrates with the apps you already use to manage the farm.

Helping Great Livestock Farming Families Into Farm Ownership

While New Zealand is in the middle of a major farm ownership transition, the farmers best placed to step up are often the ones held back by how traditional lending is structured.

That’s where the Farm Progression Loan comes in for qualifying NZ farmers.

With lending decisions informed by real farm data from Figured, this product is designed for farmers who can demonstrate more than just a strong asset position, but great financial performance. For advisers, this also creates an opportunity to play a more active role in helping clients prepare for succession, expansion, or ownership transition.

Figured for Livestock β€” FAQ

Yes. For year-end valuations, you can use Herd Scheme, NSC, or a combination of both on the same farm. Figured supports all three methods (including market value), and lets you mix them at year end so that you’re not locked into a single default.

Additionally, when the IRD releases updated Herd Scheme values each year, Figured applies them automatically across your applicable stock classes. NSC values are updated the same way. You don’t need to manually enter new rates β€” they flow through to your valuations when they’re published.

Most likely, but it depends on the state of the file.

Figured pulls livestock transactions from Xero, QuickBooks Online, or MYOB, so the platform works best when livestock sales and purchases are coded to dedicated accounts and the chart of accounts has some structure to it.

This is exactly where our support team can help. We’ll walk you through onboarding onto Figured, setting up your first farm files, and creating a rollout plan that works for your business. With ongoing support available to all users regardless of Figured plan, plus a Help Centre packed full of useful articles on integrations, setup, and product info, we’re always here to answer your questions.

The short version: Farm Reporter is for actuals. Farm Manager is for planning.

Farm Reporter gives your clients access to real-time financial reporting drawn from their accounting software. It’s well-suited to clients where your main goal is accurate, up-to-date compliance reporting and you want to move that work off spreadsheets.

Farm Manager includes everything in Farm Reporter, plus budgeting, cashflow forecasting, and variance reporting. It’s the right choice when you want to move the relationship beyond compliance and into the higher-value work that’s more resilient to changing market trends. Farm Manager makes it possible to build forecasts, model stock decisions, and hold more frequent conversations with clients about the future of their business β€” plus the compliance side and added financial services β€” all in one place.

For most New Zealand livestock accountants building an advisory practice, Farm Manager is where that growth happens. Farm Reporter is a solid starting point for clients who aren’t ready to engage at that level yet.

Yes. These days, banks are asking for more than the year-end financials. They want to see forward-looking cashflows, current debt position, and evidence that the farming business has a team behind it that’s tracking the numbers in real time. Figured produces exactly that, with reports drawn from live accounting data.

When a client comes to you before a bank review or a refinancing conversation and their Figured file is current, you can update assumptions, run different stocking scenarios, and get something meaningful to the bank far more quickly than spending days rebuilding the numbers in Excel.

Some NZ banks are beginning to actively favour sheep and beef clients who can provide this kind of forward-looking reporting. Getting ahead of that shift now is one of the stronger arguments for building your advisory practice on Figured.

For most organisations, getting started is relatively quick. Connecting your accounting software and creating the farm in Figured takes minutes, and our NZ-based onboarding and Customer Success team can help you get your trackers configured correctly from there.

A clean, well-organised file can be producing useful reports the same day. If your file needs a bit of tidying up first, our team will help you get there.

AgriWebb and FarmIQ record what happened with the stock. Figured records what it means financially, and answers the question neither can on their own: what did each class actually cost to run, and where is the operation heading against the plan?

From there, stock movements recorded in real time out in the paddock flow into Figured’s Livestock Tracker, keeping reconciliation current without anyone having to enter the same information twice. You get live data that reflects today’s picture on the farm, and the client gets to skip the extensive afternoon spreadsheet sessions.
