The World’s Largest Farm Financial Management Platform

There’s a reason thousands of agri-accounting firms across New Zealand, Australia, the UK, and the USA run their farming clients through Figured. More than 35,000 farms trust the platform — and the farm teams who use it every day know exactly why.

Heard This Before?

“Every farm is different. But somehow we’re still doing the same reporting work manually, year after year.”

Agri compliance comes with a level of complexity that general accounting software wasn’t built to handle. Livestock movements, valuations, milk income, production records, and financials all need to come together accurately before a report can go out the door.

For firms managing hundreds of farming clients, that can mean spreadsheets, manual reconciliations, lookup tables, and repeated work across every farm. The more clients you take on, the more time it takes to get the same work done.

But, some agri accounting firms are doing things differently. They’re bringing agri-specific data and workflows together in one place, completing compliance and reporting faster, standardising how work is done across their client base, and spending less time on manual data wrangling.

That platform is Farm Reporter.

Livestock Reconciliation Built Into Your Financial Position

Livestock operations require reporting that connects stock movements, trading activity, and Herd Scheme valuations to the farm’s actual financial position. Figured handles livestock reconciliation natively, so when it’s time to produce a report for a bank review or farm succession conversation, the numbers are accurate and the work is done.

Many tax and compliance clients aren’t farming operations — some are commercial entities alongside a farm, or completely separate non-farm businesses in their own right.

I can almost remember to the day when we discovered Figured, and it was like — oh my gosh, this is it. It’s just been so nice to get off the spreadsheets, get off the pen and paper, get off the napkins, and actually put some useful tools and information out there that you rely on and have confidence in.

Integrations

Figured Works with the Software You Already Use

Figured doesn’t replace your existing software — it plugs in on top, pulling live data from Xero, QuickBooks Online, or MYOB, and integrates with the apps you already use to manage the farm.

Farm Reporter — FAQ

Farm Reporter includes four categories of reports:

1. Financial reports covering P&L, cashflow, balance sheet, variance reporting, and account transactions.

2. Production reports showing income and expense performance at the individual production level.

3. Tracker reports giving detail across livestock, dairy, and crop trackers.

4. Year-end trading statements including livestock trading accounts, milk production statements, wool production reports, and crop inventory valuations.

Each report draws from live accounting data synced from Xero, QuickBooks Online, or MYOB, and can be saved within Figured for future reference, shared with anyone who has access to the farm, or exported as a PDF or CSV.

The short version: Farm Reporter is for actuals. Farm Manager is for planning.

Farm Reporter gives farm teams access to real-time financial reporting drawn from their accounting software, including income, expenses, production tracking, and year-end valuations. It’s well-suited to farms where the main goal is accurate, current compliance reporting.

Farm Manager includes everything in Farm Reporter, plus budgeting, cashflow forecasting, scenario planning, and variance reporting. It’s the right choice when you want to move the relationship beyond compliance — building seasonal plans, modelling different pricing or stocking scenarios, and having more regular conversations about where the business is heading.

For most NZ accountants building an advisory practice, Farm Manager is where that shift happens. Farm Reporter is a solid starting point for clients not yet ready to engage at that level.

Farm Reporter is a practice-level product, typically used by your accountant. If you’re a farmer exploring Farm Reporter, we recommend checking whether your accountant is already on the platform.

Reporting Studio reimagines what an NZ agri-accountant can do with a farm’s numbers.

It’s Figured’s customisable reporting layer, built on top of the live data in your Farm Reporter files. It lets you build custom report layouts with your firm’s branding, your choice of KPIs and charts, and AI-generated commentary, then open those layouts across every client in your portfolio from a single setup.

Standard Figured reports handle the financial and production outputs your practice uses every day, like P&L, cashflow, balance sheet, tracker summaries, and year-end statements. Reporting Studio is where client-facing advisory reporting lives: the branded report packs, management summaries, and bank-ready presentations your clients take to their lender or board.

Reporting Studio is available to Farm Reporter users.

Yes. Upgrading a file from Farm Reporter to Farm Manager adds a range of agri-specific planning tools without starting over. Your production trackers, accounting integrations, chart of accounts setup, and historical data all carry across.

Most practices use Farm Reporter as an entry point for clients engaging with Figured for the first time, then move them to Farm Manager once the compliance foundation is in place and they’re ready to work at a planning level.

Figured is priced as a monthly subscription per farm file, managed through your practice account. There are two tiers: Farm Reporter for real-time financial reporting, and Farm Manager, which adds budgeting, cashflow forecasting, scenario planning, and variance reporting.

As the adviser, you hold the subscription and manage it on behalf of your clients. How you pass that cost on — whether itemised separately or folded into your advisory fees — is a practice decision. Most firms using Figured across a wider client portfolio find the subscription cost sits comfortably alongside the advisory fees the platform makes possible.

Current pricing is available on our pricing page.
