When You Need Your Numbers, Figured Is There

Livestock Budgets that Reflect How Your Farm Works

Stock movements, trading decisions, inventory tracking, and seasonal income all connect to your cashflow in real time, alongside live data from your farm production apps and accounting software.

Simplified Reporting for Better Results

When someone needs to see the numbers, Figured pulls them from your live farm position. Bank packs and governance reports don’t take hours to build, and the commentary even writes itself.

Planning Tools for the Decisions that Shape the Future

Figured improves on-farm decision making. Plan a stock purchase, enterprise change, or various succession pathways before you commit, and reforecast in minutes when conditions change.

Intelligent Tools Built Natively Into the Platform

Intelligent, AI-powered systems are woven naturally into Figured. We’re making the platform better and faster, with more in development.

Sound Familiar?

“Livestock is too unpredictable to plan. You just deal with what the season throws at you.”

General accounting software can’t handle livestock operations. New seasons rarely play out as planned, and building detailed budgets for a situation that changes before you’ve finished can feel like effort without a return.

The problem is that software that isn’t built for agriculture is usually built for the compliance calendar. It does a great job looking backwards, but it can’t look at what’s coming next. When you need to know your numbers, they’re months out of date.

Instead, a growing group of Australian sheep, beef, and livestock farmers are doing things differently. They’re working on a platform that gives them a current financial picture every day, with stock movements connected to cashflow, bank feeds reconciled, and a budget that updates with the season. When it comes time to make a major decision, everything they need is there.

That platform is Figured.

What You Get

How Figured Works for Australian Livestock Farmers

Figured is built to give livestock farmers access to everything they need in one place, with tools to plan, model, report, and make the season’s big decisions.

Budgets Built Around How Your Farm Moves

Build financial plans that connect stock movements, trading activity, and seasonal income to your actual cash position, using a grid-style interface built for the way sheep, beef, and mixed livestock farming works — that means no fixed financial year, and no season overflows. The plan matches reality.

At the end of the season, rollover the prior year’s numbers to the next year’s budget so you don’t have to start from scratch. And if conditions change mid-season, it takes only minutes to update assumptions and see the new forecast.

Generate Instant Reports with Commentary that Writes Itself

When it’s time to refinance, report to the trust or governance board, or fetch this year’s results for a planning conversation, Figured gives you and your accountant fast, custom reports drawn from live farm data.

Create bank packs instantly straight from your Livestock and Wool Trackers, or customise a highly visual template and reproduce it as many times as you like — with the data updating itself. Then, Auto Analyst adds the commentary for you, saving you time writing it all up yourself.

Real Production Data, Connected to Your Financial Plan

Your Livestock and Wool Trackers connects stock reconciliation, production data, and financial planning together. Figured’s integration with AgriWebb then captures every movement in the field and feeds it straight through, so the financial impact flows into your budget automatically, with as much or as little detail as your operation requires.

Plan What Comes Next with Numbers to Back It Up

The decisions that shape a farming family’s future deserve more than a conversation at tax time. Scenario modelling in Figured lets you map different pathways in financial terms before you commit, so you can see what your operation looks like under different ownership structures, debt scenarios, or enterprise changes.

If you’re not measuring what you’re doing, you can’t manage it. And Figured has certainly given us a greater ability to manage things, because we are measuring so much more.

Now with Figured, it has absolutely shifted our whole outlook on the business. I just can’t wait to be using the reports to analyse and approve decisions — we’ve never had time to do that before, we’ve been too busy just getting the information.

Connected to the Tools You Already Use

Figured doesn’t replace your existing software — it plugs in on top, pulling live data from Xero, QuickBooks Online, or MYOB, and integrates with the apps you already use to manage the farm.

Questions

Figured for Livestock Farmers — FAQ

Figured connects directly to a variety of farm production apps, including AgriWebb and Trev, so your stock movements come through automatically. Once the integration is set up, reconciliations flow into your Figured production and inventory trackers, keeping your financial records and your on-farm data aligned without anyone doing double the work.

If you’re not currently using one of those apps, Figured still supports manual entry and reconciliation directly within the trackers. It’s a few more steps, but the end result is the same: a running record of your stock position that ties directly to your financial reports.

While you can absolutely use Figured by yourself as a farmer, we do recommend checking to see if your accountant or adviser is already using it.

Getting the Livestock Tracker configured correctly, connecting to your accounting software, and making sure the opening position is right all benefit from someone who knows the platform well. Trying to do it without an adviser tends to mean a slower start and more things to unpick later.

Once you’re set up, though, you have your own access to the platform and can see your financial and stock data at any time — not just when your accountant runs a report. The goal is for both you and your accountant to have access to the same live data, which you can view at the same time.

Figured connects to Xero, MYOB, and QuickBooks Online. If your farm accounting runs through any of those three, you can use Figured on top of it.

If you’re on an alternative accounting system, or using spreadsheets or paper-based records, you’d need to migrate to one of the supported systems first. While migrating to a modern platform can seem daunting, most farms never go back — there’s a reason they’re so popular.

It may help to talk to a Figured-enabled accountant about what you need to do next to upgrade your accounting system, then get onto Figured.

Yes. Banks want more than EOFY accounts, they want forward cashflows, a current debt position, and a financial picture that’s been kept up to date throughout the season. Figured produces all of that from your live data.

When a lending conversation comes up, you and your accountant can update assumptions, run a scenario at a different stock price, and have something credible ready in hours, if not minutes. Some Australian banks are already looking more favourably at farming clients who can bring this kind of visibility to a review.

Figured can help you build your relationship with the bank, too. The farmers who get the most from their lender give them visibility throughout the year, and often include them in regular farm meetings. With the bank on your farm team throughout the year, they don’t need to be caught up every time you bring them into the conversations — making it easier to have the big conversations, and get the outcomes you need.

Your job is keeping the underlying data current — reconciling bank transactions in Xero or MYOB and recording stock movements as they happen. The more current that is, the more useful Figured is for both of you.

Your accountant’s job is to work with that data inside Figured. They configure the Livestock Tracker, manage the planning and reporting, and handle the EOFY financial work: stock valuations, accruals, and the reports that go to the ATO and the bank.

When both sides have done their part, the conversation between you shifts from what happened last year, to what’s going on right now and, more importantly, what might happen next.

Figured is a monthly subscription, and the cost depends on which product tier your accountant sets you up on — Farm Reporter for reporting, or Farm Manager if you want planning and forecasting on top of that.

Most farmers don’t manage the subscription directly. Your accountant or adviser handles the setup, and depending on how they work, they’ll either pass the cost on to you separately or fold it into your advisory fees. The best person to ask is your accountant — they can tell you exactly what applies to your farm before you commit to anything.
